At the 3A South Region Championships last week, the 23 year old girls 4×100 meter relay school record was shattered by nearly a full second. The Knights team of freshman Alyssa Poawui, sophomore Tamia Bowers, sophomore Ashley Ankapong, and freshman Madison Depry finished in second place in 50.99 to earn their trip to the 3A State Championships this weekend. They will have a chance to lower this mark at Morgan State University on Saturday, May 27. The previous mark of 51.84 had lasted since 1994.
