Wheaton High School Girls Junior Varsity Soccer beat Northwood High School 3-0

The Knights took on the Gladiators and came away with their first victory of the season. The Knights created many scoring chances and were able to keep possession while dominating the game. To open the scoring, Jade Aulestia served a nice ball across the six-yard box where Caroline Ganchozo was waiting to stuff the ball in the goal. The Knights continued to apply pressure to the Gladiators’ defense, and then a ball rebounded out to Mercedes Alvarado, who lofted the ball into the goal from just outside the 18. The Knights capped off the victory as Caroline Ganchozo ran onto, and finished a nice ball played by Savannah Thompson.
